VerseDocs License Terms

VerseBlocks: document automation for Microsoft Power Platform

1. The software

VerseDocs is a Dataverse managed solution: plug-ins, Custom APIs, and supporting components that run entirely inside your own Dataverse environment. VerseBlocks does not host, process, or store your documents; nothing you generate, merge, watermark, or otherwise process with VerseDocs leaves your tenant as part of normal operation.

Separately, VerseDocs includes an optional telemetry feature, on by default, that reports aggregate usage information to VerseBlocks: your environment's org ID, tenant ID, license edition, template count, and usage counts by action and month. It never includes document content, file names, template content, or field values, and it can be turned off at any time. VerseDocs also includes separate, user-initiated features to register your company's name and contact details with VerseBlocks and to send feedback directly to VerseBlocks; these only send anything when you choose to use them.

2. License grant

Subject to these terms and payment of the applicable fee, VerseBlocks grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use VerseDocs in your Microsoft Power Platform / Dataverse environment(s), scoped as stated on your order:

A license may be issued as a one-time (perpetual) license, with no expiry date, or as a term license, valid through the expiry date stated on your order and renewable. Which applies to your license is stated on your order confirmation and is also readable at any time from the license key itself (see the VerseDocs Admin app's Licensing page, or by calling the vdocs_Ping API).

VerseDocs is sold as a single plan, VerseDocs Premium, which includes every feature of the product. Capabilities are as documented for the version of VerseDocs you install. Licenses issued before this plan replaced the earlier Standard and Pro editions remain valid and carry the same full entitlement.

3. Trial use

VerseDocs is fully functional without a license key. Output produced in any Dataverse environment that does not have a valid, unexpired license key scoped to it carries a visible trial watermark. This turns on the license key alone and not on the type of environment: development, test, and sandbox environments are watermarked on the same terms as any other, and VerseDocs does not distinguish between them. A license key removes the trial watermark in the environment or environments it is scoped to, as described in section 2, and nowhere else. Unlicensed, watermarked use is permitted indefinitely in any environment.

4. Restrictions

You may not: sublicense, resell, or redistribute VerseDocs as a standalone product; remove or alter the trial watermark other than by applying a valid license key you were issued; reverse engineer the software except to the extent applicable law expressly permits notwithstanding this restriction; or use VerseDocs outside the scope (org or tenant) stated on your license.

5. Support and updates

Support and update terms (including any renewal requirements for term licenses) are as stated on your order confirmation or a separate support agreement, if any.

6. Warranty and liability

Except as expressly stated on your order or in a separate written agreement, VerseDocs is provided without warranties of any kind, and VerseBlocks' liability arising from your use of VerseDocs is limited to the amount you paid for the license giving rise to the claim.
