“Realistic mid-volume” means the tier a mid-sized Dynamics deployment lands on once quoting, invoicing and correspondence all run through it, roughly 3,000–5,000 documents a month. Annual figures are the vendor’s annual list price or twelve times the monthly list price. Connector class is as listed on Microsoft Learn. When to pick which
Where VerseDocs is not the cheapest
At very low volume — a few hundred documents a month with no data-residency requirement — Encodian Standard at $499 a year or Plumsail's entry plan at roughly $300 a year cost less than $2,400. If that is your workload and your records are allowed to leave the tenant, they are reasonable choices.
Where the metered price stops being the price
Credit and document quotas are monthly. A quarter-end invoice run, a bulk letter campaign or one badly-looped flow burns the month's allowance, and either the flow fails until the reset or you buy top-ups at a premium. VerseDocs has nothing to run out of, because the compute is already yours.
Where the vendor cloud is the whole conversation
If your documents contain patient records, case files, contract terms or anything your legal team has opinions about, the question is not price. It is whether records may be sent to a third party to be rendered. Every SaaS connector above answers yes. Encodian's in-tenant option starts at $10,999 a year plus the Azure resources it needs. VerseDocs is in-tenant by construction, for $2,400.
