Activation

Cartographer is completely free — no tiers, no trial, no credit card, and nothing to buy. Activation just registers your name, company and email; every feature is already unlocked.

What Activation Is For

Activation is not a purchase and it does not unlock anything — every feature in Cartographer is available the moment you install it. Activating registers a free licence record with the VerseBlocks backend, which we use for telemetry: it lets us see how many organizations are running Cartographer.

A licence key does exist behind the scenes, but it is never shown to you and you never need to know it, copy it, or paste it anywhere. Re-activating later does not change it.

Activation is per environment. If you crawl solutions in more than one Dataverse environment, install and activate Cartographer separately in each one.

The Three Fields

Activation asks for three things, and nothing else:

Name

Your name

Company

Company name

Email

Email address

That's the entire form. There is no plan to choose, no payment method to enter, and no license key field.

How to Activate

  1. 1Open Power Apps (apps.powerapps.com) and find Cartographer in your app list
  2. 2Click Cartographer to open the app
  3. 3In the sidebar, click Activation
  4. 4Enter your name, company and email
  5. 5Click Activate
Activation happens once per environment. After it completes, the Activation page simply confirms that Cartographer is active — there is nothing further to configure.

If Activation Fails

If clicking Activate does not complete successfully:

  • Check that your environment has a network connection — activation needs to reach the VerseBlocks backend
  • Make sure all three fields — name, company and email — are filled in
  • Click Activate again
